Kristi Myers PMHNP
Welcome to my practice, I am a board-certified, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who specializes in working with college students and adults who are struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, and Bipolar Disorder to improve their lives.
I believe that true healing goes beyond prescriptions – it requires a holistic approach that considers the mind, body, and lived experiences of each individual. I offer personalized treatment plans that include lab testing, medication management, natural supplements, nutritional counseling, and habit changes.
My goal is to help you achieve true wellness – because I believe that health is so much more than the absence of disease. It’s about feeling vibrant, energized, and deeply connected to your life’s purpose. I am here to walk alongside my clients, offering hope, guidance, and unwavering support every step of the way.
I am also a LGBTQ+ ally and offer supportive care to those who are struggling to navigate their gender and sexuality.
I also have a special interest in working with those who are serving in a caretaker role for a loved one, I know how challenging and distressing this experience can be; you deserve support as well.
I believe that hope and healing are possible for everyone.
My journey in mental health is both professional and deeply personal. For 14 years, I struggled with ADHD, Anxiety, and Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD) – a battle that gave me firsthand insight into the frustration, isolation, and resilience required to navigate the mental health system. Having experienced both the darkness of suffering and the light of recovery, I bring a unique perspective to my practice – one that prioritizes compassion, understanding, and patient centered care.
I specialize in treating adults with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, TRD, Eating Disorders and other comorbid conditions using a holistic and integrative approach that blends evidence-based psychiatric medicine, nutraceuticals, and lifestyle modifications with the commitment to individualized care. My goal is to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and lived experience, creating a space where clients feel truly heard, understood, and empowered. Healing is not a one-size-fits-all-journey and I am here to walk alongside my patients offering guidance and unwavering support every step of the way.
My passion is guiding you to the state of well-being where you not only heal but thrive. Whether you are looking to restore balance, regain vitality, or rediscover a renewed passion for life, I am dedicated to supporting you with personalized care, encouragement, and practical solutions. Together, we will create a wellness journey that empowers you to live your best, healthiest, and happiest life.
About Me
Healing Flourishes in Connection
We heal not in isolation, but in the rich tapestry of our connections—to our own stories, to the people who shape us, and to the world around us. Every moment of shared understanding, every act of compassion, and every step toward authenticity mends the spaces where we have been fractured. In embracing our interconnectedness, we find the strength to grow, transform, and reclaim wholeness. Healing is not just a personal journey; it is a collective experience woven through love, empathy, and the deep resonance of being truly seen and heard.
Hi! I’m Kristi Myers, PMHNP
I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner based in Tallahassee, Florida, where I was born and raised. I have a BA in Finance and a BSN from Florida State University as well as an MSN from Wilkes University as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. After completing my baccalaureate nursing education at Florida State University , I was drawn to major medical centers, which led me to North Carolina—a place I had come to love during my summers there. In my professional journey, I had the privilege of working at both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University Medical Center, gaining invaluable experience in high-level evidenced based patient care. Now, back in my hometown, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care to my community.
During my third year of nursing school at Florida State University, I developed crippling treatment-resistant depression (TRD). For 14 years, I struggled through numerous medications and psychiatric providers, yet true relief remained out of reach. It wasn’t until I met a psychiatric provider who genuinely listened to me — not just as a patient, but as a person — and conducted a thorough psychiatric evaluation that my healing journey finally began.
In addition to TRD, I was also navigating Anxiety and ADHD. This provider’s careful and accurate diagnosis allowed me to receive the treatment I so desperately needed. Through this experience, I gained profound insight into the power of hope, human suffering, and the resilience of the human spirit. While his clinical expertise and evidence-based approach were exceptional, what truly set him apart was his active listening, compassion, persistence, and patience. He went beyond the standard role of a psychiatric provider, and his approach not only transformed my life but also shaped the way I practice today.
I have been a dedicated nurse for over 27 years, driven by my passion for helping others and alleviating suffering. Nursing is not just a profession for me—it is a calling, a commitment to providing care, comfort, and support to those in need. I firmly believe in the power of hope. When people are in the depths of suffering, often all they can see and feel is despair and hold on to hope that just one day their sufferings will be alleviated.
But hope has the power to heal, to uplift, and to remind us that even in the darkest moments, there is a path forward.
My goal is to be a source of that hope for my patients, guiding them toward healing and a better quality of life. Here at Mosaic Lotus Integrative Psychiatric Services hope meets healing.
In my practice, I am deeply committed to integrative psychiatry, recognizing its holistic and comprehensive approach to mental health care. Beyond the conventional reliance on pharmaceutical medications, I emphasize a diverse range of interventions tailored to each individual’s unique needs. By incorporating evidence-based complementary therapies—such as nutrition, mindfulness, lifestyle modifications, and mind-body practices—I strive to support my patients in achieving lasting well-being. My approach is rooted in the belief that mental health is best nurtured through a personalized, multidimensional strategy that considers biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors. Through this integrative lens, I aim to empower my patients with the tools and resources necessary for optimal mental wellness.
