My Story

My Story and the Power of Hope

I firmly believe that we are called to share our experiences, strength, and hope with others. I believe that hope is a deep sense of optimism and excitement- a trust that something meaningful and true will unfold in the future. More than just a fleeting wish hope is rooted in a profound expectation grounded in the truth we hold close.

Like many, I once held onto the hope that my debilitating struggles with mental illness would one day be relieved. For over 14 years, I battled excruciating Anxiety and Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD), searching for a solution that seemed just out of reach.

Everything changed when I finally found a mental health provider who truly listened— someone who took the time to conduct a thorough psychiatric evaluation rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach. This provider saw me, Kristi, as an individual with unique and special needs, not just another patient in search of a standard treatment plan.

That experience shaped my own approach to mental health care. With deep empathy, compassion, and a commitment to a patient-centered, integrative approach, I strive to provide the same level of care and understanding that I once so desperately sought. If you are struggling, know that you are not alone. I am here to truly listen and help you on your journey toward healing and hope.

Hope is the quiet yet powerful force that fuels our journey forward.

5+ years as an RN working with patients with serious complex psychiatric disorders.

Almost 4 years working as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner working with adults with chronic psychiatric illnesses. I have come to understand that while psychotropic medications can be highly effective for many patients, they are not a one-size-fits-all solution.

True healing goes beyond prescriptions—it requires a holistic approach that considers the mind, body, and lived experiences of each individual. By addressing the whole patient, we can foster deeper, more sustainable well-being, empowering them to achieve meaningful and lasting recovery.
